Gasifier

The procured MS Billets (from the sister concern Omsairam Steels) are heated in a reheating furnace with the help of a top-class gasifier. A gasifier not only heats the billets uniformly, which improves the quality of bars, but through its conversion of coal and other biomass fuels into gaseous fuel it ensures an eco-friendly operation. With rising costs of petroleum, a gasifier is a smart option as it helps keep costs low.

Re-heating Furnace

Our ultramodern re-heating furnace is capable of producing 27 MT per hour. The temperature in the furnace is automatically controlled along with auto-analysis of gas fuel. What’s more, this furnace can only roll MS Billets, which is the best raw material for steel bar production. It cannot roll inferior raw material such as ingots.

Roughing Mill

We have a powerful roughing mill driven by a 1250 HP motor. This strong roughing mill is capable of rolling MS billets of wide specifications, ranging from the sizes 100 X 100 MM to 160 X 160 MM and from the weight 159 KG to 950 KG.

Intermediate Mills

Our two intermediate mills – A-14 and A-12 – supported by continuous stands operate on powerful 330 DC Motors.

Finishing Mill

Our finishing mill is supported by multi raw rill neck bearings that help achieve consistent size of the steel bars. Operated on a 10 DC individual motor, the finishing mill has 8 sands which are arranged in a continuous formation.

Electrical System

Our electrical system has been smartly designed to optimize the availability of mill. This has been done using Scada system and topnotch switchgear systems. Every DC drive is separately connected to an individual transformer. An operator gets all the relevant data on a console, so he can keep an eye on the process and ensure maximum utilization of energy.

Quenching and Tempering System

The elongated bars pass to our high-tech Thermex Quenching system at the speed of 20 Meters per Second (for 8 MM Bars). We have improved our quenching system into a dual Quenching Box System. This system handles the high speed of the rolling mill adequately and ensures that quenching happens at a greater speed. Due to this, every bar passes through the system while it hasn’t lost any temperature after exiting the finishing mill, in turn, ensuring consistent strength and ductility throughout the bar.

Cooling Bed

Our cooling bed, 5 meters X 78 meters in length is made of finest steel, which ensures that the freshly produced and still hot bars are handled delicately so as not to harm them with dents or any sort of inconsistency in shape and straightness. This automated cooling bed collets all the produced TMX bars by itself, not requiring any manual intervention to ensure high quality.

Finished Goods Yard

Our weather-controlled, closed shed finished goods yard of 5500 Sq. meters ensures rust free steel bars which can be quickly delivered with the help of in-house EOT cranes.

Loop Scanner

A Loop Scanner is an important factor that helps achieve perfect roundness in the bars, which is essential in order to maintain uniform strength throughout the bar. A loop scanner is present in a finishing train, where it rolls the bar without putting unnecessary strain or tension on them.
